Hot Springs in Glenwood Springs is famous for its hot springs, which are a major draw for tourists. The Glenwood Hot Springs Pool is the largest mineral hot springs pool in the world and offers year-round relaxation and therapeutic benefits. They do have older photos and history of the Hot Springs in the hallway area before the enter the dressing rooms / to the springs. We have been told that Hoc Holiday came to Glenwood Springs to soak his health issues away. We did a have a chance to soak in the mineral waters. Blog post coming soon.
Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park: This amusement park is situated on top of Iron Mountain and offers thrilling rides, cave tours, zip lines, and breathtaking views of the surrounding area. It is home to the Historic Fairy Caves, a natural cave system that has been open to the public since the 1890s. We went though a few of the caves. We did take two of the tours of the fairy cave they have. More coming soon…
Hanging Lake: Located just a few miles east of Glenwood Springs, Hanging Lake is a stunning turquoise-colored lake suspended on the edge of a cliff. The lake is known for its unique geological formations, waterfalls, and pristine natural surroundings. It is a designated National Natural Landmark and a popular hiking destination. We had to make reservations ahead of time. It is a 3.1 mile hike and it is rated as a moderate hike. More coming soon…
Glenwood Canyon: This scenic canyon, carved by the Colorado River, is a spectacular natural feature in the area. It offers opportunities for hiking, biking, fishing, and river rafting. The Glenwood Canyon Recreation Trail is a popular trail that follows the river and provides stunning views of the canyon walls.
Yampah Spa and Vapor Caves: Yampah Spa and Vapor Caves provide a unique wellness experience. These natural vapor caves, located in the heart of Glenwood Springs, offer mineral-rich steam baths that are believed to have therapeutic properties. We plan to cover this in the future post.
